I’ve been having this a lot recently if I’m having a day where I want something to chew instead of a smoothie. It’s a really good mix of carbs, protein, healthy fats and a decent amount of fibre to keep you going.
The combination of oats, seeds and soy yoghurt makes nice and filling, and the blueberries and raisins add just enough sweetness without it feeling overly sweet. It does also work as overnight oats – you can add the milk and yogurt the night before, stir it well and have it the following morning.
If you can’t have soy, you can easily switch to another plant milk or yoghurt. Just be aware that you’ll likely lose a bit of protein doing that. When I swap it out, I usually add around 20g of protein powder mixed with 100ml of water on the side, just to keep the protein content a bit higher. If this sounds like something you’re going to want to do, I’ve found this vanilla protein powder mixes well with water and doesn’t taste too bad!
