This smooth and creamy coffee shake is a great way to start the day, or a handy mid-morning pick-me-up. You get the satisfying flavour of coffee – whether you’re using a shot of espresso or a gentle decaf – blended with real, whole foods to keep your energy up without the crash.

Frozen cauliflower might sound like an odd addition, but it makes everything silky without affecting the flavour. Banana and dates give it a natural sweetness, while oats and flax seed add fibre to keep you going for longer. Peanut butter and brown rice protein provide a solid hit of plant-based protein, and there’s a touch of vanilla and salt to round it all off.

It’s packed with nutrients – including potassium, omega-3s, and antioxidants – and has a lovely balance of protein, fibre and slow-release carbs to help you stay full and focused.

Make the Creamy Coffee Boost Smoothie

  1. If using espresso, brew it now and allow it to cool slightly. If using instant coffee, mix with hot water and allow it to cool.
  2. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.
  3. Blend until completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour into whatever you like to drink smoothies out of. We tend to use big Yeti cups as it keeps it cold for so long.
