Make the Berry & Almond Smoothie
- Add all of the ingredients to your blender.

- If it’s thicker than you like, add a splash more water and blend again.
- Serve straight away.
Phe's notes
This is a really easy breakfast smoothie with berries, almond butter, chia seeds and a good serving of protein. It’s fruity and filling without being heavy.
I use my own protein blend here, but you can use whichever protein powder works best for you. Ideally, look for one with a complete amino acid profile and around 2.5–3g leucine per serving, as leucine is one of the key amino acids involved in muscle protein synthesis. Plant-based protein powders can vary quite a lot, so it’s worth checking the label if you’re using something different.
